The article here in Christian Today tells us that Christians in the town of Charsadda, in Pakistan, must convert to Islam by May 17 or they "...will face “dire consequences and bomb explosions”.

Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ there. Today is the deadline for them to renounce their Savior or face persecution.

Jim over at http://www.oldtruth.com/ makes a significant point about this frightening story:

Anyone want to take the American "God has a wonderful plan for your life" message over there and let everyone know of the unique purpose God has for them? I didn't think so.

Amen, Jim. Perhaps that 'wonderful plan' and 'unique purpose' includes persecution to Glorify His Name. This story makes all that fluffy man centered teaching seem silly, doesn't it?

Matthew 24, Mark 13. Sort of adds new meaning to these I think.

How our hearts should cry out in prayers to our Father for our Brothers and Sisters in The LORD Jesus that live in countries that oppress them and persecute them. Here in The United States, The LORD Jesus is pushed aside even in what calls themselves "Churches". Play abounds in some "Churches" while we are losing quickly our nation, our homes, etc.

We have a website "Living Hope In Jesus" that is just 8 months and 2 days old. The LORD Jesus has managed to reach various parts of the world with the site. We have had 2 separate invitations to visit Churches in Pakistan. We have been invited to the Phillipines. We have also been invited to visit with a Church in Libya. Pakistan and Libya are in the darkest spiritual area in the entire world yet The LORD Jesus is reaching souls there. He has Churches and true believers there. Lights in the dark. That is what these people are.

There are visits we have had in probably the spiritually darkest of dark nation in the entire world as it does all it can to black out The Gospel of The LORD Jesus. That nation is Syria. These are people who would be imprisoned or killed if they were caught accessing our site to study about Jesus. (It is well-documented on the internet that Syria has blacked-out Christian sites in the past in order to keep Jesus out of Syria.) We pray for God's protection of these spiritually hungry souls as they pursue their love for The LORD Jesus.

It is not enough for The Voice Of The Martyrs (and other similar Christian organizations) to be involved with concern for these persecuted and oppressed children of The Most High God. WE must get involved. WE must pray fervently and faithfully for them. There are even Christian organizations that one can donate to that will take Bibles into these nations.

The fervent love and devotion that our oppressed and persecuted Brothers and Sisters have for The LORD Jesus is something WE need to have here in The United States.

How can we say we are ready to die for Jesus' Name sake when we won't even live for Him?

Thanks for your article and love for The Church in Pakistan.

Sincerely in The LORD and ONLY Savior Jesus Christ,
Stephen and Bonita Ann Richie

BTW: The Lord put you in my heart last week so I prayed for you. So good to hear from you. Blessings.
