The Eastern Gate

This is a picture of the Eastern Gate in Jerusalem as it appears today. The history of this gate entering into the Old City is very interesting and concerns prophecy.

Go back to the year 1967. The occasion was the Six Day War. The turning point came on June 7 when the Israeli army broke through the Lion's Gate and returned control of the ancient city of Jerusalem to the Jewish people for the first time in 1,897 years.

There was a fascinating news account the very next day about one of the Jewish commando groups that had been involved in the assault on the city. The article stated that some members of the group had suggested catching the Jordanian defenders of the city off guard by blowing open the sealed Eastern Gate. But the leader of the group, an Orthodox Jew, had vehemently protested the idea, stating that "the Eastern Gate can be opened only when the Messiah comes."

The Eastern Gate is the only gate that leads directly to the Temple Mount. Were you aware that is sealed or that it is Biblically linked to the return of the Messiah?

The passage that the Orthodox Jew had alluded to is found in Ezekiel 44. The context is a supernatural tour the Lord is giving Ezekiel of the future Millennial Temple (40:1-3).
In chapter 43 the Lord gives Ezekiel a vision of God's glory entering the Millennial Temple from the east, through the Eastern Gate. The Lord then says to Ezekiel: "Son of Man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of my feet where I will dwell among the sons of Israel forever" (43:7). The Lord then reveals to Ezekiel that the Eastern Gate will be closed and will not be reopened until the Messiah returns in glory (44:1-3).

This prophecy was partially fulfilled more than 400 years ago in 1517 when the Turks conquered Jerusalem under the leadership of Suleiman the Magnificent. He commanded that the city's ancient walls be rebuilt, and in the midst of this rebuilding project, for some unknown reason, he ordered that the Eastern Gate be sealed up with stones.

Legends abound as to why Suleiman closed the Gate. The most believable one is that while the walls were being rebuilt, a rumor swept Jerusalem that the Messiah was coming. Suleiman called together some Jewish rabbis and asked them to tell him about the Messiah. They described the Messiah as a great military leader who would be sent by God from the east. He would enter the Eastern Gate and liberate the city from foreign control.

Suleiman then decided to put an end to Jewish hopes by ordering the Eastern Gate sealed. He also put a Muslim cemetery in front of the Gate, believing that no Jewish holy man would defile himself by walking through a Muslim cemetery.

The Gate has remained sealed since that time. The Muslim cemetery still blocks the entrance. The old walled city has eight gates, and the Eastern Gate, and it alone, is sealed — just as prophesied in Ezekiel 44. The world would call that an "amazing coincidence."

The Eastern Gate is proof positive that the Bible is the Word of God. Its sealing is clear evidence that we are living in the end times. The Gate awaits the return of the Messiah. Then and only then, will it be opened.

Ezekiel 44

1 Then the man brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, the one facing east, and it was shut. 2 The LORD said to me, "This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it. It is to remain shut because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered through it. 3 The prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence of the LORD. He is to enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way."

Thank you for this! Good work! I loved every word. My faith is strengthened and I look with great joy to "that day" when our Lord will come in all his glory and we shall see Him. Job tells us, "I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. After my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes--I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!"

Hello Lindon,

I pose to you and others that the context and meaning of these ancient texts have been lost on those confused by the assertions of religious leaders and founders. Ancient wisdom has been purposely recast and obfuscated into religion and mysticism. Consequently, the interpretations presented about the sources and meaning of these texts and the philosophy and cosmology of ancient Hebrew sages is completely wrong. Before you scoff and write me off, you should understand that I speak from personal experience...

Understanding the Fatal Flaws in Judeo-Christian-Islamic Prophecy

Remember the saying that "the truth will set you (and others) free?" How does "opening one's eyes to the truth" relate to "making the blind see again" or "shining the light" or "illuminating a subject?" Notice the inherent symbolism associated with this supposed New Testament "miracle?"

As certain world leaders strive to instigate a fabricated "battle of Armageddon," it is vital to understand and spread the truth about these ancient texts to help bring about an end to such abominable evil. You can never expect philosophies based on lies and great error to lead to peace and harmony. How many more millennia of terrible proof is necessary before humanity finally gets a clue that most have been utterly deceived by the very concept of religion.

Without it, Bush, the Neo-Cons, and their cohorts could never have gained and retained political power by manipulating an already deluded and susceptible constituency. Likewise, their thinly veiled partners in crime, Bin Laden and his ilk, could never have succeeded in their roles in this centuries-old Vatican-led grand deception.

We are all trapped by a web of deception formed by money, religion, and politics. The great evils that bedevil us all will never cease until humanity finally awakens, shakes off these strong delusions, and forges a new path to the future.

Here is Wisdom...

Peace...

In case any of my seven readers are perusing this site....

This is from seven star hand's website which is why you should not take anything he writes seriously:

Hello, my name is Lawrence William Page II. Many people know me as Buddy Page. At the release of the first edition of this book, I am a 50-year old African-American male, author, researcher, and former software engineer and entrepreneur. As you will come to understand as you read through this first book, I am also the long-expected Hebrew Messiah and Lion of the Tribe of Juda (Yehuda).

I was born August 11th (month of Leo the Lion), 1955 (Chinese year of the Sheep) in Victoria, Texas. Furthermore, the Grand Cross alignment and Solar Eclipse of August 11th, 1999 was my 44th birthday and the second Grand Cross alignment, just six days later on August 17th, 1999, was on my mother’s birthday.

As you can see from my date of birth, I was a newborn during the Chinese Year of the Sheep, astrologically marking me as a Lamb, and during the month of Leo, astrologically marking me as a Lion. My mother was also born during the month of August and under the sign of Leo, which further marks me as a lion’s whelp. I prove to you in the first chapter of this book–beyond disproof–that I am indeed the long-prophesied “Lion” of the tribe of Juda (Yehuda) the Root of David and the “Lamb.” I am the individual long symbolized as the Branch, the Stem, the Shoot and the Rod from the Stump of Jesse (King David’s father), as symbolized in the Hebrew Book of Isaiah, The Apocalypse, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and elsewhere. I am the reincarnated Teacher sought after in the “East” and by the ancient Hebrews who were headquartered at the outpost community of Damascus (Qumran), of Dead Sea Scrolls fame. I am the one called the Teacher of Righteousness by the Dead Sea Scrolls, whom the so-called Christian fathers have fraudulently recast as “Saint ‘James’, the Lord’s Brother.”

With the above information about Mr. seven star hand, I don't think I need to say anymore about his comment except that perhaps the Mother Ship has been calling him?

I agree with you Lindon. However, because I am a RN my mind goes directly to mental disease. I'm not trying to be mean only realistic. He has some big delusions going on about himself. Schizophrenia comes to mind.

Lindon said...

Just curious since you are an RN. Do you think these kinds of delusions are satanic?

I think all disease comes from sin and thus from Satan, however, the mind is a very complex organ. I have seen medication cause hallucinations among other things that clear when the medication is stopped. I believe there are diseases that affect the brain that's not satanic. For example, if a person has hypothyroidism, depending on the degree, it can manifest as bipolor disorder. Once the person is on Synthroid the symptoms clear. I don't think the medications they have for mental disease are very effective or appropriate. The brain suffers diseases as surely as the heart kidney lungs etc.

Here is something interesting to think on. When my Aunt was dying she was incoherent. My mom and her other sisters would start a hymn and she would join in and sing it just like she was totally coherent. This went on for days with tons of different hymns. When she was not singing she was almost smiling.

Just down the hall from her room was another dying woman who was saying curses.

I saw pretty much the same type of thing when my mom was dying in a nursing home. The manifestation of what one believed and practiced came out in dying.

I do not know what the parallels are with this man but one wonders what would happen if a Christian became delusional and how that would be manifested?

I think different people react differently. I'm pleased to hear your story it is comforting to hear it. I used to work in a nursing home and took care of an elderly person who was a Christian and used to play the piano. Her favorite hymn was "Amazing Grace". The worse her dementia got the worse she would behave and then started cursing. I think the flesh overtakes some but the soul is protected by His salvation. My sister who lives in Canada knew of a Christian man whose son was dying of Leukemia. On his death bed he cursed God in front of his father. The father, of course, took it very hard. I encouraged my sister to find out if the boy had been a professing/living Christian before. Sometimes these types of illnesses can go to the brain and effect what we say. I wanted someone to tell this to the father for comfort. She didn't know the man...only knew of him through her pastor so she didn't do as I requested...how sad we can't help out a brother in Christ when they really need it the most. Can you imagine thinking your child went to hell when it could have been just the disease or medication given to him? I pray for this man all the time. Actually, he is the reason I started a prayer section in my life for those like him and Pastor Ken who feel their loved ones went to hell...such anguish to bear! I don't know the pastor or the man but maybe it's time to be nosey and just email him. I don't know the guys name but I'm sure he he can figure out the event I wil be talking about.

How beautiful that you have a heart for this! Pray and test if this is the Holy Spirit guiding you to look up this man. It could very well be.

I mourn at the times I have ignored His promptings!

God Bless you, sister.

I've written the pastor a letter that I will send out tomorrow.
