Dependence on God Every Millisecond

"Do not delight, when in a day, you have not committed the sin of adultery IF... during that same day you have walked in independence from God.

Because, in the sight of God and His holy angels, both crimes are just as heinous and filthy".

-Paul Washer

He always has a way to bring us back to reality, doesn't he Lin? Paul Washer is a "no holds back" preacher who favors only God and His Gospel. I thank God every day that He is gracious enough to give us men to preach us the truth of God!

His teaching has been a blessing to me. I was convicted of my sin of independence when I heard him say this in a message.

I have only begun to listen to Paul Washer! This week I watched as he delivered his message to the
youth in Montgomery, AL in 2002. What an incredible Man of God!!! I am like a sponge soaking up a breaking dam!It has been so very, very long since I have heard a sermon delivered with this fire and brimstone...I feel sorry for the people sitting in these buildings called churches who are listening to the watered down version of the gospel of a different Jesus!!! We need to rise up and go out and tell the world about Jesus! We need to forget about fun and games! We need to forget about how many 'socials' we can have at church this month! Dear Lord in Heaven help us!!!

Ez, What are some examples of idol worship in our time?

Precisly.

"Churchianity" can become an idol. Our fancy buildings! Even a preacher. As a matter of fact, I heard Washer tell a group in a sermon that he had to spend some time in a sermon tearing down some idols that some Christians had made of Jonathon Edwards, Calvin, etc. Why talk of what men say all the time when we can read what God says?
